General Edit Lite edits hex, ASCII, and UTF-16 (Unicode)

Berkeley, CA-August 9, 2005-Quadrivio Corporation announced General Edit
Lite 2.0, a free tool for Mac OS programmers who need to edit data files.
It is based on the commercial OS X version of General Edit.

General Edit Lite allows programmers to:

1) Open and edit disk files as hexadecimal bytes, ASCII characters (Mac OS
and Windows encodings), UTF-16 (Unicode), 16-bit decimal integers, or
32-bit decimal integers.

Open source internet TV app coming out for Mac first

Participatory Culture Foundation let us know that is first beta version of DTV, its open-source Internet TV application, is now available. With DTV, users can watch videos from RSS feeds, subscribe to channels in the built-in Channel Guide, manage feeds, and watch videos in full screen. The Foundation says that it is like podcasting, but oriented around video instead of audio. In addition, they are running a contest with a US$1,000 prize for designing a mockup of the interface, and a $300 prize for the winning logo design submission.

MacCVSClient 1.10

MacCVSClient 1.10 is a free CVS client running on Mac OS 7.1 and later.
There are separate Mac OS X (Mach-O), Classic PPC and Classic 68K
executables of the software.

MacCVSClient has features such as easy viewing of diffs, logs and
annotations. There is a mechanism to ensure you resolve conflicts before
committing changes. A convenient scrapbook window allows you to reuse text
bits while composing commit log messages.
