EchoFX today announced the availability of USBVision 1.1.3, software support for USB 1.1 video digitizing devices including the XLR8 InterView, Belkin VideoBus, iRez USBLive and CapSure USB, Hauppauge USB-Live, Dazzle Digital Video Creator, Pinnacle LINX and others. Version 1.1.3 addresses a problem with audio-capable devices in the recent 1.1.2 release. In addition, the free USBVision Exporter software can now open many more types of files and has improved feedback during exports to iTunes / iPod video as well as other formats.

Apple launches iTunes Music Store in Australia

Apple today launched its iTunes Music Store in Australia, providing Australian music fans the same features, pricing and integration with iPod that the other music stores features. “The iTunes Music Store is now available in 21 countries and features over one million songs from major and independent record labels and over 1,000 music videos in Australia. Pricing has been set at AUD$1.69 per song, $3.39 per video and with most albums at $16.99 including GST.

Blackmagic Design has announced DeckLink Extreme with PCI Express (PCIe) compatibility with the new Power Macintosh G5 systems recently announced by Apple. DeckLink Extreme PCIe is a PCI Express version of Blackmagic Design’s DeckLink Extreme capture card that features a new high speed PCI Express 1 lane interface running at 2.5 Gbps, which is more than 6 times faster than FireWire based solutions.
