Econ Technologies today announced Portraits & Prints 2.1, the latest release of its personal photo studio for Mac OS X. Version 2.1 adds direct access to iPhoto — “with one click of a button you can access all your photos in iPhoto and quickly add them to a Portraits & Prints catalog. Print your photos a gazillion different ways with easy template-based printing. Just add images to a catalog, choose a template, then export or print your photos.” In addition to direct access of iPhoto images, version 2.1 features several iPhoto enhancements. The Photo Information Panel displays Finder/Spotlight comments and iPhoto title, ratings, and comments of any photos in a catalog. Portraits & Prints Standard Edition is priced at US$30, and Portraits & Prints Pro Edition costs $50.
