LaCie today announced a partnership with Group Logic, developer of network workflow software, to integrate ExtremeZ-IP v4.0.5 File Server software into the LaCie Ethernet Disk for increased Macintosh file sharing support. ExtremeZ-IP is a Windows-based file server that fully supports Mac OS X. ExtremeZ-IP File Server offers support for Apple’s latest version of the Apple file sharing protocol, AFP v3.1, as well as other new Mac OS X features including support for long file names, file sizes over 2GB on the server, immediate start-up and compatibility between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X files.
