Apple, Jonathan Ive receive D&AD awards

Apple fared well at the Design and Art Direction Awards (D&AD) last night in London, reports Macworld UK. Apple’s VP of industrial design, Jonathan Ive, snagged the president’s award for “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry,” which is chosen by D&AD president Dick Powell. Apple also received Silver Awards for the fourth-generation iPod and iPod mini in the “Products for Home” category, and a “Yellow Pencil” award for its Cinema Display in the “Products for Work and Industry” category.
