REAL Software today announced that REALbasic 2005 will ship next month and will be updated every 90 days via the company’s Rapid Release Model. This model is detailed in a new white paper, “The Rapid Release Model for Software Development,” available from REAL Software. “Although this model has been used by companies that sell software as a service, like salesforce.com, this is new ground for companies that sell packaged software, like REALbasic,” stated Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL Software. “Our customers often need to incorporate the latest technologies, whether Windows, Macintosh or Linux, into their projects. This Rapid Release Model is a way for us to address their needs more quickly.”
