The owners of south Florida’s MacCenter have “decided to exit the Apple Sales and Service Business,” according to a posting on the company’s Web site. MacCenter said it is ceasing all consumer and business sales as well as service for Apple Products, effective February 28, 2005. “When we opened this store in 1996, Apple was thought to be failing, and we were thought to be the crazy ones,” a statement reads on MacCenter’s site. “Apple is now thriving, and we’d like to think that you and MacCenter have been a part of that success. The entire MacCenter Team would like to thank you for your continued patronage over the years.”
