OmniWeb 5.0 announced; beta available Feb. 2

The Omni Group has announced OmniWeb 5.0, a major new version of its popular Mac OS X Web browser. Highlighted new features include a tab drawer, saved browsing sessions, updated bookmarks, page marking, improved shortcuts, site-specific preferences, and more. The company said it will be showcasing the software at Macworld Expo this week (booth #934). A public beta version will be available for download on February 2, 2004 with the final version shipping in March. OmniWeb 5.0 will sell for US$29.95.

CineLift re-introduced with new installation procedure

Following its introduction at the July 2003 Macworld Creative Pro conference in New York, the CineLift flexible mounting arm for the Apple Cinema Display is being re-introduced this week with an easier installation process. Made by Innovative Office Products Inc., the US$369 CinemaLift arm suspends the Cinema Display monitor above the desk surface and rotates 360 degrees at three swivel joints, letting you reposition the monitor with one hand.
