Also announced by Elgato Systems today announced its EyeTV 200 FireWire digital video recorder, which makes it possible to watch, record, edit and archive high-quality, MPEG-2 encoded television on the Mac. The new unit features a FireWire interface and MPEG-2 video encoding, which allow EyeTV to capture, compress and transfer high-quality video to watch and record on the Mac. EyeTV 200 will be available this month for US$349.
