Apple shares fall on margin, Power Mac concerns

“Weaker gross margins and sales of Power Macs dampened enthusiasm for Apple shares Thursday even though the company reported first-quarter revenue that grew 36 percent over a year ago,” reports CBS Marketwatch. Apple fell US$1.53, or 6.3 percent, to trade at $22.67. Analysts said they were concerned with sales to Apple’s professional customer base, as Power Mac sales fell to 206,000 units from 221,000 in the previous quarter.
