Impact of Apple’s ‘1984’ ad examined

An article by technology columnist Kevin Maney for USA Today takes a look back at Apple’s historic “1984” SuperBowl commercial, directed by Ridley Scott, and examines the impact it had on computer users at the time. “Apple Computer’s famous ‘1984’ commercial, which introduced the Macintosh, wasn’t the only computer ad that aired then. It’s just the only one that changed people’s lives — particularly people who already loved technology” writes Maney.

Apple logo signs returned to Elite Computers

In April of last year, we reported that Elite Computers had filed a lawsuit against Apple Computer, seeking more than US$5 million in compensation for what it said was a breach of contract, unfair competition, false advertising and fraud.
