Metaobject has released version 1.2 of BookLightning, a Mac OS X 10.3 native utility for imposing PDF files into booklets, either for further processing or to print directly on a duplex printer. The update features support for most encrypted files using an updated EGOS engine, as well as some fixes relating to direct print and better compatibility with some PDF files. Version 1.2 is free to registered users; for others, BookLightning costs US$49.
