MacResQ announces iPod repair service

MacResQ today announced the launch of a repair service for Apple’s iPod. The service, called iPodResQ, provides iPod users throughout the US with a source for 24-hour repairs and battery replacements on their iPods. The iPodResQ 24-Hour Repair Service costs US$29, which includes three-way overnight shipping, initial diagnostic service, and special packaging.

San Francisco Apple Store break-ins reported

Apple recently announced that its new retail store in San Francisco is scheduled to open on February 28th, but it would seem like some Apple fans have a hard time waiting for a few more weeks. Wired’s Leander Kahney reports that the store’s construction site has had several break-ins recently. The intention, apparently, was not to steal anything, but to take some pictures of the new flagship store.
