Nicecast 1.5 released with new features

Rogue Amoeba Software has announced the release of Nicecast 1.5, the latest update to its software that allows you to easily broadcast music from Mac OS X. Version 1.5 now supports Live365.com accounts, integrates with Megaseg, and broadcasts iTunes crossfades. Also included in this free update is support for Icecast2 servers, the new Nicecast Server Checker, and numerous other updates and bug fixes.

Yazsoft today announced the release of Speed Download 2.3.1, the latest version of the company’s popular download manager for Mac OS X. iPod mini ships; over 100,000 pre-orders

Apple officially announced today that iPod mini, the company’s newest portable music player, will be available on Friday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers throughout the U.S. iPod mini is encased in an ultra-portable, lightweight anodized aluminum body and available in a choice of five colors: silver, gold, pink, blue and green.

Apple introduces new iBook Mobile Classroom

The Apple UK Hot News page notes that the company has unveiled a new version of its iBook Mobile Classroom, its “unique portable computer lab for education, that is more powerful and more scalable then ever. Each Mobile Classroom is now sold as a ‘Base Unit,’ containing the key elements — such as the Bretford Cart and AirPort Base Station — to which you can add your choice of 5, 10 or 15 iBook G4 systems with either 12.1-inch or 14.1-inch screens.
