MacSoft today announced that Rise of Nations: Gold Edition has reached gold master status and will begin shipping on December 10, 2004. The US$49.99game should be available in most retail stores in North America the week of December 13 and in Europe the following week. Rise of Nations is an historical real-time strategy game that combines the epic scope of traditional turn-based strategy games with the fast-paced action of RTS games, according to the publisher. Apple’s iTunes Music Store has posted the top 100 songs and the top 100 albums of 2004. The top five songs are: “This Love” by Maroon 5, “Yeah!” by Usher, “The Reason” by Hoobastank, “Let’s Get It Started (Spike Mix)” by Black Eyed Peas, and “Vertigo” by U2. The top five albums are: U2’s How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, Maroon 5’s Songs About Jane, Green Day’s American Idiot, Ashlee Simpson’s Autobiography, and Avril Lavigne’s Under My Skin.
