MacSoft today announced that Rise of Nations: Gold Edition has reached gold master status and will begin shipping on December 10, 2004. The US$49.99game should be available in most retail stores in North America the week of December 13 and in Europe the following week. Rise of Nations is an historical real-time strategy game that combines the epic scope of traditional turn-based strategy games with the fast-paced action of RTS games, according to the publisher. The Gold Edition of Rise of Nations includes the Thrones and Patriots expansion pack.
