Mail Factory gets expanded address support, more

BeLight Software has released Mail Factory 1.3, a new version of its program to design and print envelopes, address and shipping labels. The update adds support for addresses from Excel, vCards and text files. In addition, users of databases such as FileMaker and all contact managers can export their data to a tab-delimited file, readable by Mail Factory. The newer version also features iPhoto integration, more label paper layouts and improved work with the Address Book, Entourage, Eudora and Now Contact. Mail Factory sells for US$29.95.

Six Apart has announced the release of TypePad 1.4, a new version of its hosted weblog service. Version 1.4 offers several enhancements intended to make mobile weblogging more accessible to anyone with a camera phone, offering new “mixed media” templates optimized for blogs containing a mix of text, photos and other media types. The new release adds additional features to improve the set-up of weblogs and a new account creation wizard for streamlined weblog setup and posting.
