The Register today reports that Toshiba has unveiled an 80GB micro hard drive, which is scheduled to ship in the third quarter of 2005. While no mention was made of Apple’s iPod, Toshiba is a supplier of drives for the digital music player, so a larger capacity iPod seems likely, not to mention predictable. Apple recently introduced the 60GB iPod photo, which stores digital photos in addition to music.
