Quark today announced the immediate availability of QuarkXPress 6.5, the latest version of its professional publishing software. Announced last month, version 6.5 brings the ability to edit images directly on the QuarkXPress page; support for native Photoshop files; variable data printing; enhancements for large workgroups; and increased stability and reliability. As previously reported, Apple and Quark have launched a promotion that offers US$300 back via mail-in rebate with the purchase of a Power Mac G5 or PowerBook G4 and the full version of QuarkXPress 6. Alternatively, Apple offers $100 back with the purchase of a Power Mac G5 or PowerBook G4 and a qualifying QuarkXPress 6 upgrade. The “One publishing powerhouse” promotion is valid through January 10, 2005.
