Ergonis Software today released PopChar X 2.2, an update of its tool for “typing” unusual characters easily without having to remember keyboard combinations. Version 2.2 brings automatic font detection for all applications that have a normal Font menu in the menu bar, including Word, Excel, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, InDesign, FileMaker and BBEdit. PopChar sells for US$19.99.
