Quark today announced QuarkXPress 6.5, a new version of the company’s popular publishing software. Version 6.5 brings the ability to edit images directly on the QuarkXPress page; support for native Photoshop files; variable data printing; enhancements for large workgroups; and increased stability and reliability. Quark said the QuarkXPress 6.5 upgrade will ship in the next 30 days and will be available at no charge to registered users of QuarkXPress 6. The software will be available for download, or customers can request that an upgrade CD-ROM be mailed to them by contacting customer service.
