RealNetworks has confirmed to MacMinute that the security vulnerabilities reported earlier today only affect previous beta versions of RealPlayer 10 and not the final version currently available for download. According to security firm eEye, the flaws “could be exploited via a malicious Web page or a RealMedia file run from a local drive to take over a user’s system or delete files.” A RealNetworks spokeswoman said the company has not received reports of anyone actually being attacked with this exploit.
