Albert Muniz, a marketing professor at De Paul University in Chicago, says that Newton fans have done a better job of marketing the Newton than Apple ever did, reports Wired’s Leander Kahney. Muniz is partnering with Roman Pixell of the Stockholm School of Economics to write a case study about the Newton community. “The fact they are having a conference now, six years after Apple discontinued the Newton, is remarkable,” said Muniz in the article. “It means the Newton will live on. Maybe in emulation or on new hardware, but the Newt will survive.”
