Staz Software is shipping FutureBASIC 4, a new version of Macintosh BASIC. The IDE has been totally rewritten for the Carbon development environment and sports a new editor and project manager. All menus and operations have been tightened and streamlined. There are also some interface enhancements. FutureBASIC 4 has a suggested retail price of US$169 for individual copies and is also sold by subscription. Upgrades are shipped on CD for a period of one year. The renewal price is $99, while reviving an expired subscription is $129. Updates for FutureBASIC II and I users are $149. Lab packs and site licenses are also available.
