Visitors to Jaguar’s X-Type Web site can enter for a chance to win a “limited Edition” black iPod by signing up for the car maker’s X-News mailing list. However, Mac fans shouldn’t get too excited. The iPod isn’t exactly a special model created exclusively for Jaguar by Apple. Instead, the device appears to simply be customized by ColorWare, which specializes in custom painting computer products. In fact, ColorWare offers iPods in several colorful versions, including various shades of blue, red, purple, green, orange, yellow and more. Anyone can purchase a “limited Edition” black iPod (15GB – $356; 20GB – $465; 40GB – $565) or send theirs in to have it custom painted ($49). You can even get the color of your iBook or PowerBook changed by ColorWare.
