In an article appearing on Wired today, columnist Leander Kahney discussed Apple’s recent security snafus and what the company is doing and has already done about the issue. “In the past few weeks widely publicized security holes in OS X were discussed everywhere and by everyone, except Apple,” notes Kahney. Apple has been fervently talking to the press about security in an effort to shore up user confidence in the company’s security protocols. “The message is that Apple takes security very, very seriously, and the company has learned an important lesson in communicating about security issues with its customers,” says Kahney.
