CTM Development has released PowerMail 5.0, a major upgrade of the Mac OS X mail client. The new version includes enhanced spam filtering (including tight integration with the SpamSieve application); faster fetching, filtering and storing of messages; more filter actions; a variety of user interface enhancements; and more. The update is the first for-pay upgrade in almost two years. Until June 8, PowerMail 5.0 is a free upgrade for those who purchased version 4.2.1 in the last three months. The cost for upgrading from PowerMail 3.x or 4.x is US$29 and $45 for upgrades bundled with a SpamSieve license. For new users the cost is $49 for PowerMail 5 or $65 for PowerMail 5 bundled with a SpamSieve license.
