On April 20, Apple opened its first Apple Experience Centre (AEC) in Malaysia at the Ikano PowerCentre in Petaling Jaya. The store occupies 3,500, making it the largest such centre in the Asia Pacific region. It has training rooms for potential and new Mac customers, a mini play centre for kids to get the Mac experience, and servicing and support facilities for Apple products. Unlike other dedicated Apple Centres, the AEC at Ikano sells third-party products such as cameras, personal digital assistants and projectors that integrate with the Mac environment.
