The Iconfactory today released IconBuilder Pro 5, a new version of its professional icon construction filter for Adobe Photoshop. The latest version adds several features including support for building 24×24 pixel Windows toolbar icons as well as custom 128×128 Windows icons. IconBuilder Pro 5 also includes IconExaminer, a new stand-alone application for examining Mac & Win icons in the Finder; movable grid positions; increased compatibility when opening certain .ico and .icns files; and new command-keys for common functions. IconBuilder Pro 5 is available now for US$69. Registered users of IconBuilder Pro 3.x / 4.x can upgrade to version 5 for US$20. Users who purchased the filter after October 1, 2003 are entitled to a free upgrade.
