Several MacMinute readers pointed out that Hewlett-Packard will apparently begin shipping computers with iTunes pre-installed by the end of March, according to meta data found in the source code of the HP Music Web site. “A set of online pages to direct consumers to the iTunes download and experience as a first phase in launching the HP iPod and iTunes suite of products and services,” reads the description. “The icon will start shipping pre-loaded on Pavilion and Presario computers in late March and these pages will be the first landing site directed towards HP.commusic.” HP originally said that its systems would ship with iTunes this summer as part of its strategic partnership with Apple.
