Apple is negotiating to lease 275,000 square feet of office space in Austin, Texas, being vacated by Electronic Data Systems (EDS). According to the Austin Business Journal, representatives of Apple are in “serious talks” to occupy the space in Riata Crossing. MacMinute noted in August that Apple’s North and Northeast Austin leases were set to expire in mid-2004, and that its brokers at Swearingen Realty Group were looking for 250,000 square feet as a replacement.
