SMART Technologies has announced the release of SMART Board software version 8.1 for Mac OS X. For use with all SMART Board interactive whiteboards and Sympodium interactive lecterns, this free upgrade supports Mac OS X, including Panther. Version 8.1 features the Gallery, an image-management system that groups templates to be used as screen backgrounds with associated images; SMART Recorder; Screen Shade and Spotlight; and cross-platform compatibility.
