Randy Ubillos, Final Cut pro creator and chief architect, will speak when the Final Cut Pro User Group Network holds a gathering on Jan. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Mezzanine Club in downtown San Francisco. Ubillos will discuss Final Cut Pro 4 while guests involved in the production of the “Cold Mountain” movie will discuss how FCP was used in the production of the motion picture. There’ll be other demos, a raffle with prizes, food and drink. Doors open at 6; seating is first come first serve and is limited. A US$5 donation will be requested at the door for this event, which is open to the public. Details, including full agenda and directions to the Mezzanine Club, can be found at the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group Web site.
