Hawaii Apple Store photo

MacMinute reader Rick Ortiz sent us a photo he snapped of the Apple retail store that is currently under construction at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. We first reported on the store in November after the Honolulu Star-Bulletin noted that Apple was seeking applicants for a store manager and a “Mac Genius” for a new Ala Moana store. There is no word on when the store is scheduled to open.

Loud by Design has released Stop-Motion-Studio 1.0 (US$39.95), a new application that allows you to use a digital camcorder to easily create stop-frame films. “Stop-frame movies are shot frame-by-frame, where each image is a little different from the previous one, creating the illusion of animation. Most cartoons are done frame-by-frame, and all claymation movies are too. Stop-Motion-Studio works by previewing what your camera sees, and when a frame is ready, you simply capture and move to the next.

Safari users going hungry

Louisville’s Courier-Journal reports on a bug in Apple’s new Safari Web browser that won’t let users order pizza online. According to the article, several messages have been posted on Apple’s support site under the topic, ”Cannot order pizza with Safari.” Frantic posters who favor Papa John’s have found that while they can click away on the menu, they can’t submit an order. “I suppose Safari is trying to tell me I should eat less pizza,” wrote one.
