Apple has posted details on a new Power Mac G4 Power Supply Exchange Program, which “offers owners of Power Mac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors) computers the option of reducing the operating acoustic level of their computers by exchanging their original power supplies and system fans for new, quieter versions.” The Power Supply Exchange Program kit is available at no charge, with a shipping and handling fee of US$19.95.

Zetnet adds Mac support for broadband services

UK Internet service provider Zetnet today announced that it has added Mac support for the company’s broadband services. Mac users can take advantage of Zetnet’s broadband ADSL 500 domestic introductory offer: until March 31, 2003 customers can subscribe to an all-inclusive package costing £129. The package consists of an ADSL modem router (Ethernet + USB) that is currently retailing at £69. The modem is compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux. The package also includes broadband activation, two micro-filters and broadband ADSL connection for three months.

Pangea Software today announced that they are currently developing a new 3D game for the Macintosh entitled Billy Frontier. Billy Frontier is an arcade style game where you play Billy, a cowboy living on the planet New Texas. Apple Store to open in Japan

The Nikkei English News cites unnamed sources at Apple as saying that the first Apple Store in Japan will open in Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district, according to a report in Bloomberg. The story goes on to say that the store will open in the autumn of this year. No further details were provided and Apple was unavailable for comment at press time.
