Apple to open Charlotte and San Francisco retail stores

Apple is planning to open new retail stores in Charlotte, North Carolina and San Francisco, California this year, according to a pair business publications. The Charlotte Business Journal reports that Apple will open a store in the SouthPark mall’s new Nordstrom wing as part of the mall’s $100 million expansion, renovation and new ownership under the Simon Property Group. The San Francisco store will be located at One Stockton St.

Master of Orion III for the Mac to be available on March 19

Destineer’s MacSoft unit today announced that the long-awaited Mac version of Master of Orion III should be available for sale on March 19, 2003 (three weeks after the Windows version hit the shelves). “Master of Orion III is a turn-based strategy game with real-time space battles. Players gather resources as they explore solar systems, complete with jump lanes, worm-holes and hostile alien races. They will research and design their own ships and weapons and interact with 16 different races.
