Apple’s digital video strategy to be announced at NAB

In an invitation sent to select journalists today, Apple announced a press conference to be held during this year’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 7-10. According to MacCentral, the invitation reads, “Please join Apple for a press conference at NAB 2003 to learn about Apple’s strategic direction for digital video production technologies.”

Apple strengthens corporate governance

Apple today announced that its Board of Directors yesterday approved several measures to enhance corporate governance, including adding two additional independent directors to its board, increasing the use of independent committees on the board and reducing issued stock option overhang from 23 percent to 16 percent. Omni Group announces OmniGraffle 3.0

The Omni Group today announced OmniGraffle 3.0, a new version of its Mac OS X diagramming and drawing application. Targeted for early April 2003, the Omni Group will be shipping OmniGraffle 3.0, as well as a new Professional version. OmniGraffle 3.0 brings “smart guides,” a redesign of OmniGraffle’s Info panels, an improved toolbar, new caching architecture, better AppleScript support, improved support for importing OmniOutliner files, an improved Selection tool, and more.
