Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference Moved to June 23-27 at Moscone in
San Francisco

CUPERTINO, California-March 21, 2003-Apple today announced that it has
rescheduled its 2003 Worldwide Developers Conference in order to provide
developers with a more complete preview release of the next version of Mac
OS X, code named “Panther.” Originally scheduled for May 19-23 in San Jose,
the conference will now be held June 23-27 at San Francisco’s Moscone

Desktop pictures/icons weekly recap

Over the course of the past week, MacDesktops has posted 14 new desktop pictures, including: Crude Action Figures (Humor), Logan’s Run (Movies), and Spring Wind Tunnel (Logos, Apple). iCalShare adds calendar previews

Our friends over at iCalShare let us know that they have added calendar previews to their popular site, which offers over 1250 calendars in over 30 different categories for Apple’s iCal. With calendar previews, you can now preview calendar content without the fuss of launching iCal and subscribing to every calendar you find interesting. They’ve also added two new ways to browse their calendar library. The ‘Top Calendars’ page lists the most popular calendars on iCalShare, while the ‘Recent Calendars’ page is a quick list of newer arrivals.

IOXperts updates 802.11b driver for Mac OS 9

IOXperts has released version 1.0.2 of its 802.11b driver for Mac OS 9. Like the company’s current Mac OS X wireless driver, it supports more than 60 different 802.11b wireless networking cards on PowerBooks equipped with PC Card slots. This new release also fixes some bugs and includes support for the Short Preamble feature, which is intended to improve network throughput when transmitting streaming video or voice. The driver sells for US$19.95.
