MSN Messenger 3.5 for Mac coming today

Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit today will release MSN Messenger for Mac 3.5, the latest release of the company’s instant messenging client. New features in version 3.5 include message archiving with a search feature, allowing users to save instant message conversations; change display name, where users can switch their display name as often they like by simply clicking in a window and typing in a new name; and contact management, to define and organize groups for family members, friends or colleagues.

Pixelpalooza entry deadline March 31

The folks over at the Iconfactory wanted us to remind icon artists that the deadline to submit an entry to Pixelpalooza, their annual icon design contest, is Monday, March 31 at Midnight ET. To date, Pixelpalooza 2003 has garnered 70 entries in its three icon submission categories — OS X, CandyBar and Classic. Public voting in the People’s Choice Awards will run from April 6-13. Results of the People’s Choice Award will be announced with the Grand Prize and Runner Up winners on April 21.
