iCommune music-sharing software returns

After Apple forced him to stop distributing his iTunes music-sharing plug-in earlier this year, developer James Speth has posted iCommune 2.0a1, a new stand-alone version of the peer-to-peer software. “iCommune is an application that extends Apple’s iTunes to share music over the network. You can share the music in your iTunes library and access other iCommune music collections. iCommune music collections appear as playlists in your iTunes window.

Over 150,000 Airports Extreme products sold

Apple today announced that more than 150,000 AirPort Extreme wireless networking products have been sold this past quarter, representing nearly half of all 802.11 products the company shipped during the same period. AirPort Extreme is the next generation of Wi-Fi wireless networking technology based on the new ultra-fast 802.11g standard.
