Apple posts WWDC Enterprise IT details

Apple has updated its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) Web site with information on this year’s Enterprise IT sessions for enterprise developers, system administrators and IT managers. “These sessions provide in-depth information and expert guidance on developing, deploying, and managing enterprise applications. Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server, and Xserve technologies are covered along with how to fully leverage the open source and open standards approach on which they are based.

iTunes store is ‘enormously easy, dangerously addictive’

Writing for Forbes, Arik Hesseldahl gives Apple’s new music service high marks: “After a short tryout and a tad of obligatory skepticism, we can honestly say we’re impressed. The iTunes Music Store, an online music download service that is integrated into Apple’s iTunes 4 digital jukebox software, is enormously easy to use and dangerously addictive.” He adds, “On the whole, Apple’s musical moves look like the right ones.

JR Hill announces new 17″ PowerBook sleeve

JR Hill & Co. today announced a new sleeve for Apple’s 17-inch PowerBook, designed to be a “simple yet stylish” leather case for the new laptop. Made of durable full grain leather or balistic nylon, it offers 1/8″ padding in front, back and sides, a zipper on all three sides, and leather piping and handles. The leather version retails for US$109.99, while the nylon version sells for $84.99. Both will be shipping on May 12.
