Kano debuts new RAID storage systems

Kano Technologies today introduced Mac-compatible SureVAULT desktop RAID storage systems. The SureVAULT RAID Desktop Mirrored Solution writes data simultaneously to two drives, creating and maintaining a constant mirror-image of all data. The SureVAULT RAID 5 Desktop Solution stripes data to three drives simultaneously. MegaSeg gains ability to read AAC tags

Fidelity Media has released an update to MegaSeg, its popular music mixing automation software. Version 2.6.3 allows the software to read the annotation tags of AAC compressed audio files used by Apple’s new iTunes Music Store. MegaSeg could import and play AAC files prior to this free update, but without the artist, album and genre information due to a limitation in QuickTime.

iTunes Music Store sells 3 million songs in first month

“Apple Computer seems to have the future of online music in its hands for the moment,” writes Neil Strauss for the New York Times. “Its new service, iTunes Music Store, has been the first real success story in the long effort to sell music over the Internet. In just its first month of operation the service, by the company’s estimate, has sold three million songs online, at 99 cents each.
