Apple’s Ive wins ‘Designer of the Year’ award

Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design guru, has been named “Designer of the Year” by London’s Design Museum, picking up a prize of £25,000. As we reported in January, the other nominees included the makers of the best-selling video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, jewelery designer Solange Azagury-Partridge, and Dutch product designer Tord Boontje for limited edition chandeliers.
