Radio DJs appearing at The Grove, SoHo Apple Stores

A few popular radio personalities will soon be appearing at Apple’s flagship retail stores — The Grove in Los Angeles and SoHo in New York City — promoting iTunes 4 and the latest iPods. KROQ’s Jed the Fish will be at The Grove on Friday, June 20 from 6:30-8:30 PM, while WXRK’s Cane & Cabbie will visit the SoHo store on Friday, June 13 from 7-9 PM. The DJs will also “test your music knowledge” for a chance to win prizes.

Microsoft modifies settlement due to Apple concerns

Bloomberg reports that Microsoft, which agreed to pay US$1.1 billion in a California antitrust settlement, has dropped a provision in the agreement that would give its software free to schools after Apple criticized the plan. “Schools that are awarded vouchers under the settlement can now receive any manufacturers’ technology product, according to court documents filed in San Francisco.
