Apple’s “New Music Tuesdays” continue today with additions to the iTunes Music Store from AM Radio, Cyrus Chestnut, Minus Driver, Buddy Jewell, Ray Price & Willie Nelson, Paloalto, and Sense Field. Apple has also added new music from Buddy Guy, Glenn Miller, Groove Armada, Julian Bream, The Temptations, KRS-One, Benny Goodman, and James Brown. In addition, exclusive tracks were added from Dido, Matchbox Twenty, and Vivian Green.

Gefen extends USB devices more than 1,500 feet

Gefen today announced the Ex-tend-it USB-500, which enables USB devices to be operated up to 1,650-feet from a computer. The US$799 USB-500 uses “Extreme USB” technology, has a four-port USB Hub built-in and employs fiber optic cables to connect the sender and receiver units. According to Gefen, the sender is connected to the computer; the receiver is connected to the USB peripheral. Both units are connected with fiber optics in lengths up to 1,650 feet.
