Apple’s “New Music Tuesdays” continue today with additions to the iTunes Music Store from Gavin DeGraw, Michelle Branch, 311, Ben Folds, Endo, Beanie Sigel, Bob Dylan, and Christoper O’Riley. Apple has also added new music from Martina McBride, Youngbloodz & Lil’ Jon, Justin Guarini, Peter Tosh, Elvis Presley, A Tribe Called Quest, Longwave, and Tracy Byrd. In addition, exclusive tracks were added from 50 Cent, Neil Young, and Kenna.

Peachpit releases first Apple Pro Training books

Peachpit Press has released three books from its Apple Pro Training series, including titles on Final Cut Pro 4, Shake, and Logic 6. The US$44.99 titles are self-paced learning tools and the official curriculum of the Apple Pro Training and Certification program. Upon completing the course material in these books, you can become a certified Apple Shake or Final Cut Pro 4 Pro by taking the certification exam at an Apple Authorized Training Center, according to Peachpit.

BuyMusic.com expects 1 million downloads a day

BuyMusic.com founder Scott Blum says he’s prepared to sell 1 million songs a day on his new service. “I expect to do 200 million to 300 million downloads in the first year,” Blum told USA Today. The article also notes that none of the tracks from BuyMusic can be moved to Apple’s iPod, which has 50 percent of the digital music player market, though they do work with players from Creative Labs, Rio, and Lyra.
