Leaked Quake IV concept art draws warning from id

id Software has issued a warning to several publications regarding some concept art for the upcoming Quake IV game that was leaked late last week, reports Inside Mac Games. In the statement id said that it has “…instructed Activision that we are not to work with any magazine which uses any of these assets. If any magazine does so, id Software will not allow any assets for id games to be sent to these magazines in the future.”

Some Apple investors looking for a dividend

In the latest Byte of the Apple column on BusinessWeek, Alex Salkever looks at Apple’s successes since the technology bubble burst a few years ago. Salkever says that while Apple CEO Steve Jobs has led the company efficiently, bringing several very successful products to market, investors are now looking for their piece of the pie. “Some of the more outspoken Apple investors now think Jobs owes them a dividend, considering that the stock has fallen more than 50% since 2000,” writes Salkever.

Apple UK offers Xserve leasing program

Apple UK has launched a new program that offers qualifying professional customers the chance to lease a range of scalable Apple server solutions at attractive monthly rates. Customers can choose from a single 1.33GHz G4 Xserve (starting from £88 per month), a 1.26TB Xserve RAID system (from £194), or a 2.52TB RAID setup (from £392). The leasing program includes the AppleCare Premium Service and Support Plan and is only available from July 21 to September 30, 2003.
