August MacBUS meeting announced

The next meeting of The Macintosh Business Users Society of Greater Philadelphia (MacBUS) will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. ET. This month’s meeting will include a presentation by MacBUS newsletter editor Chris Urban on wireless connectivity options for businesses. In addition, Apple’s iChat AV will be demonstrated as a tool for quick, easy, and inexpensive video conferencing. BusinessWeek interviews Steve Jobs

BusinessWeek has posted excerpts of interview with Apple CEO Steve Jobs, in which he talks about innovation, research & development spending, music, the iPod, and being creative in a stagnant market. “I see a recovery in innovation coming out of this downturn,” said Jobs. “I see some very strong companies that have been built even in these very tough times. And I see some new sprouts popping up out of universities. I’m an optimist.”
