DEVONagent beta, DEVONthink update released

DEVONtechnologies has released the first public beta of DEVONagent, its new Internet search agent. DEVONagent 1.0b1 comes with a total of 15 plug-ins for querying a variety of search engines and databases, scanning the Usenet, and more. Also released was DEVONthink 1.7.1, which adds tight integration with DEVONagent, an automatic update check function, and performance boosts. DEVONagent requires Mac OS X 10.2 and Safari.

WiebeTech cuts prices on FireWire, USB 2.0 products

WiebeTech has announced price reductions on several of its popular storage products. “The amount of the reductions vary by product. For example, the extremely popular MicroGB+ pocket drive with a 40GB, 5400RPM, 8MB cache drive has been reduced $40, from $269.95 to $229.95. At the top end of the scale, the price of the 1.2 Terabyte Quad BayDockTM FireWire storage system has been cut from $3,995 to $2,539.” More than 35 different product configurations have been permanently reduced in price.

Zeldman, Bowman to help revamp Apple.com
