Wozniak gives go-ahead for Apple I replicas

As noted by Leander Kahney on Wired today, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has given the go-ahead to Vince Briel, a computer technician in Cleveland, Ohio who wants to sell US$200 replicas of the original Apple I. Requests from Briel to Apple have gone unanswered, so he approached Steve “Woz” Wozniak for permission. Wired notes that “a spokesman for Apple declined to comment; and Woz couldn’t be reached for comment.”

Rapper 50 Cent “lovingly caresses” an iPod as “three scantily clad women lovingly caress him” in the first 30 seconds of his new “P.I.M.P.” music video. “The rapper and the women are dressed all in white, a perfect match for the sleek white design of the iPod, which has exactly as many close-ups as 50 Cent does in the video’s opening scenes,” reports the New York Times. “Whether it’s a paid endorsement or not is beside the point.
